Functional purpose

 

Butterfly valve (English: butterfly valve) refers to a kind of valve whose closing part (disc or butterfly plate) is a disc, which rotates around the valve shaft to achieve opening and closing. It mainly plays a role of cutting off and throttling on the pipeline. The butterfly valve opening and closing part is a disc-shaped butterfly plate, which rotates around its own axis in the valve body to achieve the purpose of opening and closing or adjustment. The butterfly valve is usually less than 90° from fully open to fully closed. The butterfly valve and the butterfly stem have no self-locking ability. For the positioning of the butterfly plate, a worm gear reducer should be installed on the valve stem. The use of a worm gear reducer can not only make the butterfly plate self-locking and stop the butterfly plate at any position, but also improve the operating performance of the valve. The industrial butterfly valve is characterized by high temperature resistance, high applicable pressure range, large nominal diameter of the valve, the valve body is made of carbon steel, and the sealing ring of the valve plate uses a metal ring instead of a rubber ring. The large high temperature butterfly valve is made of steel plate welding, and is mainly used for flue ducts and gas pipes of high temperature media.

 

Electric adjustment type

 

Electric regulating butterfly valve belongs to a variety of electric valve and electric regulating valve. The main connection methods are: flange type and wafer type. It is an important execution unit in the field of industrial automation control. Two main points for the installation of electric adjustable butterfly valves: the installation position, height, and direction of inlet and outlet must meet the design requirements. Note that the direction of the medium flow should be consistent with the direction of the arrow marked on the valve body, and the connection should be firm and tight. Electrically adjustable butterfly valves must be visually inspected before installation. The nameplate of the valve should meet the requirements of the current national standard "General Valve Marking" GB12220. For valves with a working pressure greater than 1.0MPa and a cut-off function on the main pipe, strength and tightness performance tests should be carried out before installation. Use only after being qualified. During the strength test, the test pressure is 1.5 times the nominal pressure and the duration is not less than 5min. The valve housing and packing should be qualified without leakage. Electrically adjustable butterfly valves can be divided into offset plate type, vertical plate type, inclined plate type and lever type according to the structure. According to the sealing form, it can be divided into two types: soft sealing type and hard sealing type. The soft seal type generally uses a rubber ring seal, and the hard seal type usually uses a metal ring seal.
